Pastor
Joe came to know Christ later in life, placing his faith in the Lord at the age of 30 while working as an airline pilot in the summer of 2000. During his time at Temple Baptist Church in Deltona, Florida, he was mentored under the faithful leadership of Pastor Chester Thrift.
Joe faithfully served in several ministries—teaching Sunday School, directing youth, and leading the bus ministry—before answering God’s call to preach. In 2008, he pursued a degree in Pastoral Studies at Heartland Baptist Bible College. After graduating, he served in multiple full-time ministry roles, including Assistant Pastor, College & Career Director, Interim Pastor, and Senior Pastor.
In addition to his ministry work, Joe is a proud 20-year veteran of the United States Air Force and Air Force Reserves, retiring in 2009. He is also a certified flight instructor and holds a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida.
Joe and his wife, Cherie, are blessed with three grown children—Cody, Jacob, and Caroline—two wonderful daughters-in-law, Brenna and Olivia, and two precious grandchildren, Rory and Connor. He would love the opportunity to meet you and your family.
